Kandi Wimer

Kandi Wimer

Practice Manager

Kandi started with us in March 2011 as a veterinary technician. She has always had a love for animals and started working in veterinary practices in 2007. Kandi wins the award of most rescued animals in her family; she currently has 6 dogs and 2 cats. Needless to say her household is very busy at feeding time! Kandi is married to the love of her life and fellow animal rescuer, Gregory and they recently had their first 2 legged child, Charlotte. When Kandi isn’t working which is very rare, she enjoys weekend getaways with her family and travelling to exotic locations.

Receptionist

Mary started with us in March 2021. She has always had a love for animals, but this is her first time working in a veterinary clinic. She has experience in customer service and human medicine. She wants to pursue a career in medicine, but hasn’t decided if it will be 2 or 4 legged medicine. She loves interacting with people and their fur babies, and she has three fur babies of her own at home- two cats named Midna and Zelda and a dog named Jyn. When she’s not working, she’s cooking, crafting, decorating, and traveling with her husband and best friend, Noah.

Veterinary Technician

Leslie was born and raised in Montgomery Texas and graduated from Montgomery High School in 2013. Right out of high school, she got her first veterinary job and automatically knew that this was the career for her. She joined the AHOM family November of 2016 and cannot imagine ever working anywhere else. She is our standard crazy cat lady and has three kitties of her own named Titan, Gypsy (aka Little), and Carl. She would take them all home if she could. Outside of work she loves baking, going on mini road trips, and spending time with her family.

Jade

Jade

Past Hospital President

Rest in Peace Sweet Jade (6/7/2004-9/3/2018)

Jade was destined to be the Hospital President. The hospital was only open for two weeks before she was dropped off as a stray. Mandy, Dr. Romero’s wife fell in love with the little gray kitty & decided to keep her as their first “clinic cat”. She is now running things around the hospital. If there is ever a big commotion she will always be right there. She is the best lap sitter, paper weight, chair stealing, food stealer cat there is. You can catch her roaming the office causing mischief and mayhem, or napping wherever she pleases. If you see her, feel free to give her a pat, but be careful she will let you know when enough is enough… you know like a typical cat!

Mammie

Mammie

Hospital Co- President

Mammie Cat came to us in the summer of 2013 with her six kittens. Mammie was ill and not wanting to care for her four week old kittens. After some inquiring, it was discovered that she was attacked by a dog a few days earlier and was suffering from muscle soreness and a mild hip injury. Mammie was started on pain medicine and within a few days she was good as new and started caring for her babies again. All of her kittens found homes within a few months and for a time even Mammie was up for adoption but due to the hip injury we had to be strict about any possible new homes. After a time it became clear she was going to be a permanent member of Animal Hospital of Montgomery’s staff. She spends her days stealing people’s chairs and sleeping on her heating pad. While Mammie prefers to spend her time with the technicians and doctors, if you see her up front be sure to say hello!

Chloe

Chloe

Hospital Co- President

Chloe is a special member of the Romero family and our clinic queen. She came to stay with us while her new house was being built and our staff spoiled her so bad that she decided to stay and make sure we were running the place as it should be. She spends her day up front loudly greeting our patients or waiting for her staff to open doors for her and fill her water bowl, with bottled water only please. She has all of us very well trained. When you are here, be sure to stop and have a conversation with Chloe.
